Ben Nevis, Fort William
Many people stay at Cedar Break when they visit Fort William to
climb or walk up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.Our self catering holiday accommodation
is only 2 miles from the mountain car park in Leanachan Forest, and 3
miles from Achintee or the Glen Nevis Visitor Centre, where many people
start their walk.
As you can see from the photographs, we are very close to Ben Nevis and it's an easy walk from Cedar Break to the North Face car park, where you can access the Alt Mhuillan trail which leads to a fantastic vantage point at 1,000 feet, overlooking Fort William below and into the North Face cliffs and crags of Ben Nevis. The first 45 minutes of this route is a nice short walk up to the tree top level which has good views looking west
We have a live webcam which shows images of the mountain throughout the day and often provides stunning images - particularly in the afternoon when the sun goes into the west and lights up the North Face.
We never tire of our mountain view and we think you'll enjoy it too!
