It's not enough to say we've got lots of great scenery - we know
you need other things... like a pleasant loch cruise to Seal Island on
Loch Linnhe, which leaves from Fort William Town Pier - only 10 minutes
from Woodside. Also at the Town Pier is Crannog Seafood Restaurant,
which we highly recommend to you. Many of our guests go one night and
then
return for more the next... If you don't particularly like fish they
do a great Scottish Aberdeen Angus Fillet Steak.
There are lots of other good restaurants and bars in Fort William and
Glen Nevis, but we particularly recommend Crannog for
a romantic or pleasant night out. As well as seafood, Crannog caters
for vegetarians and steak lovers.
Crannog also operate "Souter's Lass" from the
Town Pier on Loch Linnhe. There are two pleasant excursions of a couple
of hours and this is a
great opportunity to see a seal colony and the scenery from the loch is
superb.
During the winter months "Souter's Lass" operates on the Caledonian Canal
between Neptune's Staircase at Banavie, Gairlochy and Loch Lochy, in the
Great Glen.
