Glen Nevis is the valley or "glen" which lies on the eastern
flank of Ben Nevis. Glen Nevis is 10 minutes from Woodside or Fort William
and
is one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. Mel Gibson's Breaveheart
was filmed here, as was Liam Neeson's Rob Roy.
Glen Nevis provides access to the Mountain Footpath at Achintee. There
are several rewarding walks, two fantastic waterfalls, an Iron-Age vitrified
fort with a great view, Highland Cattle, the River Nevis and lots of places
to stop and relax.
We recommend Ben Nevis Inn and Glen Nevis Restaurant-
both good places to eat and drink but each quite different.
